When will I find out if I get accepted and when will payment to reserve my spot be due?

Who is an ideal participant for 2025 Urban Exploration?
The Partnership seeks a diverse array of participants who are leaders in their organization, community and/or industry and are actively involved or invested in Downtown Denver and the center city. Selection to attend the program will be based on, but not limited to the following attributes: demonstrated involvement and investment in Downtown Denver, leadership role in organization, community or industry, industry diversity, gender diversity, and ethnic/racial diversity.
How much is the program fee?
Private sector participants - $4,250*
Public sector participants - $3,500*
*Fee includes hotel stay at the Shinola Hotel or the Roost Hotel for three nights, meals and transportation within the program itinerary, all programmed activities, and staffing.
What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation between acceptance and March 31: Full refund

Cancellation between April 1 - May 7: 50% refund

Cancellation after May 7: No refund

Will there be a group flight to Detroit? What flight should I book?
There will not be a group flight, however, please find information below on the recommended flight options to ensure that everyone arrives in time for the programming.

Thank you to our official travel partner, United Airlines, for their support of this year’s Urban Exploration program! United offers two daily direct flight options between Denver and Detroit.

Participants should book itineraries that:

Arrive no later than 4PM on Monday, June 16: We encourage you to arrive earlier in the day since our programming begins at 5PM on Monday. There is a flight that departs at 9:45am and lands at 2:39pm (UA1306).

Depart no earlier than Thursday, June 19: Our program concludes with a celebratory dinner that you won't want to miss! There are flights departing at 8:55am (UA302) and 3:40pm (UA2297).

Can I arrive early or extend my hotel stay later?
Absolutely! Additional hotel nights will be at your own expense, as indicated in the program fee breakdown. In May, participants will receive a notification that they can revise their hotel stays at The Shinola or The Roost. Before then, if you are concerned about reserving a hotel for your stay in Detroit before or after Urban Exploration, please make a separate booking on your own to ensure you have a place to stay.

Can I register a companion or guest to share my hotel room?
Please stay tuned for more information about a potential companion program for 2025.
