ABOUT

The Downtown Denver Partnership is an economic development and place-management organization that strongly believes in an inclusive and active urban vision for Downtown Denver.

We have more than 600 member companies and a strong working relationship with our municipality, actively working together to apply best practices from cities around the world as we adapt and grow our city to meet this vision.

This year, our contingent of 150 executive business and civic leaders are traveling to Detroit, Michigan from Monday, June 16 to Thursday, June 19. With the help of many community leaders of Detroit, we are facilitating conversations and experiences to learn about the history of the city, its people, notable urban and community developments from its history, and how the city is looking to advance in the future.

Our three (3) Learning lenses this year are focused around:

Collaborating on the New Legacy

Detroit has a unique and powerful mix of funding sources synchronized to advance economic diversity, neighborhood livability, and a city for the future.

Intentional Community Building

Historic systems of oppression are eroded through story-telling, investment in community, and focus on increased access and encouraging innovation.

Belief in the Dream

The public has made a 180 in how it perceives Detroit as a safe and accessible city, instilling deep pride in place.
